The move comes amid rumours the British actress, Emma Watson, decided to take a break from her studies after enduring bullying from other students at the Providence, Rhode Island institution.
A representative for Emma Watson has dismissed speculation the 21 year old quit because she was unhappy at Brown and insisted the star is moving to take up another course which is not offered at the university.
Watson's spokeswoman Vanessa Davies claims the actress "has absolutely loved her time at Brown and made lots of great friends", but will switch to another college in the autumn "to pursue a different course which sadly Brown does not offer".
Davies also addressed the bullying rumours, telling Gossip Cop, "There isn't a grain of truth in it."
The star opened up about her decision to take a break from her studies earlier this year, 2010, writing in a post on her website, "As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student and fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible. I've decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on 'Harry Potter'... I will still be working towards my degree... it's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought."
