Royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton was not always the most popular girl in England.
According to Middleton's former classmates, Prince William's fiancé was once teased relentlessly by a group of girls during her middle school years. Kate spent just two terms at Downe House before she abruptly departed for Marlborough College. According to Jessica Hay, one of Kate's friends at the time, a group of girls picked on Kate "because she was quite a soft and nice person."
Kate hasn't commented on her experience at Downe House, but she has asked that guests at her upcoming nuptials donate to one of 26 selected charities, including the London-based anti-bullying organization Beatbullying.
Other celebrities who have recounted painful bullying in their pasts include Demi Lovato, Jessica Simpson, Winona Ryder and Kate Winslet.
