Jason Statham plays the tough guy again in Lionsgate's action thriller "Blitz". With red band attached, second trailer of the pic shows nudity, foul language and merciless killing of police officers. "A word of advice, if you're gonna pick the wrong fight, at least pick the right weapon," Statham's Brant said in the trailer.
"Blitz" is a London-set thriller about a serial killer targeting police officers. Statham will play a tough, uncompromising cop assigned the task of tracking down the killer while Paddy Considine will play his partner.
Story is based on a book by Ken Bruen with the script developed by Nathan Parker ("Moon"). Elliott Lester, who directed 2006's "Love Is the Drug", took this movie as his second feature. Back in 2009, Lester praised the choice of leading man, saying "I think Jason Statham will really step up to the plate for Brant. He's been looking for a part to make his own and I think this is it."
While it is slated to hit U.K. cinemas on May 6, it is still TBA when the movie will reach Stateside.
